Excel by 5 in Biloxi received a generous donation today.
The Hard Rock Culture Club visited the Lopez School in Biloxi to drop off school supplies to the Early Learning Childhood Center. Each year, Excel by 5 holds an immunization fair for school-aged children providing shots and shot records to families.
This year, the Culture Club partnered with the United Way to give back to the community and fill empty backpacks with school supplies for parents and students at the Immunization Fair. Pediatrician Dr. Wendy Williams said, “We’ve found that there was a really great need all across the Gulf Coast. Over the past three years, the Immunization Fair has grown and grown and grown and people need a place where they can come and get these immunizations. A lot of families are surprised by the backpack full of supplies. They’re so relieved, grateful, and pleased. It really has filled a need.”
Human Resources Coordinator at the Hard Rock Sammi Greco tells News 25 it feels great to give back, see where their donations are going, and who they’re helping.
