Communities with population less than 1,000 – (Level 1)

Communities with population of 1000-5000 – (Level 2)

Communities with population of 5,000 – 15,000 – (Level 3)

RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Recertification requirements are the same an initial certification with the exception of requirement C4.12 for Level 4 communities.  This is not required for recertification.

Engaging broad community sectors (i.e. businesses, churches, civic organizations, etc.) is critical to sustainability and building appreciation of the importance of a strong early learning environment.  Failure to address early child development issues contributes to poor academic performance, increased dropout rates, crime, poverty, health issues, etc.  Providing and promoting the best early child development environment can help communities attract business and build a community of productive workers.
